Hot and Humid Summer Days

The wildflowers seem to love these hot and humid days, and the wet spring has brought an abundant supply of ticks and chiggars. It's been another fun week to take pictures . . .

The mayflies have hatched - hope you've had the pleasure of running into a tree branch covered with these guys - literally thousands of them will swarm your boat sending your guest into arm waving frenzies!! It is definitely more fun to see it happen to another boat! lol

When you start off with a picture like this,

really paid off - this is moth mullien

golden alexander - found close to the South Bison Range

long sepal beardtongue

pink widow's cross - a large patch of this can
be found just north of Neville Bay on The Trace

wood mint

and the last photo of the day . . . sweet peas
Even the 15-20 ticks I picked off of me was worth
it for a day like today!
